Celebrating 50 Years of Little Miss & Teen Miss South Carolina Pageant

Little Miss & Teen Miss South Carolina (LMSC) is one of South Carolina’s oldest pageant systems for children and young adults.  It was founded in 1971 by the late Linda Floyd in Sumter, South Carolina. This year is the 50th anniversary of the pageant. The LMSC pageant promotes community service, academic excellence, encourages poise, good sportsmanship, and a positive self-esteem in contestants.

Since 2002, LMSC contestants have partnered with Prisma Health Children’s Hospital–Midlands raising nearly $500,000 including in-kind donations. Throughout the year contestants hold a variety of fundraisers, ask the community to purchase items from the Child Life Wish List and volunteer at community events in addition to fundraisers benefiting Children’s Hospital. In spite of the pandemic, contestants continued to ask for donations and coordinated outdoor drop-off deliveries to inpatients. This year’s contestants raised $50,483.71 including in-kind donations!
