Miss South Carolina Contestants Visit Children’s Hospital

Miss South Carolina and Miss South Carolina Teen Contestants visit Prisma Health Children’s Hospital–Midlands.

The Miss America Organization and Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals share a commitment to raise awareness and funds for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals across the country as well as the Miss America Scholarship Program. We are fortunate to partner with the Miss South Carolina Scholarship Organization to raise funds for Prisma Health Children’s Hospital—Midlands. This partnership creates the following opportunities for contestants and Miss South Carolina titleholders:

  • Miss South Carolina acts as a goodwill ambassador for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals throughout her year of service.
  • Miss South Carolina contestants at all levels raise money and awareness for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals and the Miss South Carolina Scholarship Program.
  • Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals is the national platform for the Miss America Organization, so our state pageant includes Miracle Kids from each of the children’s hospitals in South Carolina. Contestants tour the hospitals, raise funds and volunteer.
  • The tradition of the personal platform continues and contestants and titleholders can raise awareness for their chosen advocacy cause.

Miss America contestants contribute tens of thousands of community service hours annually and have raised more than $15 million for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals and Miss America scholarships since 2007. Miss South Carolina contestants have raised more than $50,000 for Prisma Health Children’s Hospital—Midlands.
