Season’s Greetings from Columbia, SC!

I’m delighted to work with RE/MAX locations in the Midlands of South Carolina to raise funds for Prisma Health Children’s Hospital–Midlands. RE/MAX Purpose Driven in Lexington delivered holiday cheer and items from the wish list to be included in Children’s Hospital’s Holiday Market. This event offers a personalized way for families of hospitalized children to select gifts. The Child Life department has been acquiring donations all year and they will set up a “store.” Each family receives an allotment of tickets to “spend” on gifts.
While delivering gifts this morning, agents were able to see a special holiday surprise, a PARADE! The 12th annual Children’s Hospital Holiday Parade featured dozens of hospital beds, carts and wagons transformed into festive floats! The Child Life Department hosts the parade to help families experience the holidays. Hospitalized children were surprised with games, books and toys donated by the community. Santa and Mrs. Claus joined agents in spreading holiday cheer!
These holiday activities at Prisma Health Children’s Hospital–Midlands bring a piece of “home” to the hospital. Thank you RE/MAX for all you do throughout the year. Because of partners like you, the holidays are made special for patients.

Since 1992, RE/MAX agents in the Midlands have raised $365,892.08 to kids treated at our Children’s Miracle Network Hospital. The majority of the funds are raised through the Miracle Home Program where an agent makes a donation in their clients’ name after each home or property transaction. Miracle Home yard signs also serve as an indicator of the agent’s commitment to helping kids in their very own neighborhood.
Buyers and sellers should know that they can take part in making their communities better by asking their RE/MAX agent to make their home a Miracle Home, meaning participating agents will pledge to make a donation after the sale is final.
